About us
Until November 2021 our properties were marketed and managed by a small independent company on the Northumberland coast. We decided to take the leap and go independent ourselves to help elevate our overall experience and take as best care of you, the guest.
With determined minds and an entrepreneurial spirit My Coastal Escapes was born. It is our ambition to develop the best independent self-catering holiday provider on the Northumberland coast, with a hands-on focus on improving both guest and home owners experience.
We have owned property on the Northumberland coast for over 23 years and have a wealth of knowledge and experience along coast and in the surrounding areas.
Our two five-star accredited properties were designed by esteemed local architect Crispin Mason Jones. His focus was capitalising on the properties coastal surroundings, creating wonderful social spaces and maximising the overall holiday experience for everyone there. Crispin’s and Dianne’s commitment to quality experience is what helped us get a feature in The Guardian - 20 Great UK and Ireland Beach Cottages - 2018.

Not wanting to be part of a large national agency, Dianne decided to create her own holiday cottage company, specialising in providing luxury accommodation to guests who prefer dealing with a local owner. Dianne is knowledgeable and passionate about the Northumberland Coast. Her favourite place along the Northumberland coast is Beadnell and she loves strolls along the beach with Buster and cosy nights in front of the log fire.
Dianne deals with all aspects of your holiday from booking and property design to check in and check out. Any queries or problems Dianne is always on hand and ready to deal with them - it’s the reason the holiday experience we offer is always five star.

Buster
Canine Executive Officer
Responsible for testing out the sand dunes, sea and beautiful beaches around the coast and Beadnell Bay, Buster is the perfect canine executive officer at My Coastal Escapes. He is occasionally found sleeping on the job or chewing important paperwork but is always forgiven as he keeps us all smiling.
Duneside House is Buster’s favourite place to relax after a big walk on the golden dunes. You’ll find him curled up next to the fire with some tasty treats and his favourite tennis ball.
